The Company

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an innovative food company supplying retail, food service and public sectors with healthy, sustainable and cost effective food solutions. As a leader in their field they are experiencing continual growth and are now seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager who can help them stay ahead of their competitors. We are looking for two Managers, one to cover Northern England and one to cover Southern England.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales you’ll be a pivotal member of this vibrant company where you'll take responsibility for generating new business and developing sales in the food service and contract catering sectors. You’ll maintain and develop cross-functional relationships with existing and potential customers. You’ll work closely to provide innovative product solutions that will achieve sales targets and business opportunities for all parties. You'll also use your passion and awareness of food to keep your customers up to date on new products and industry movements, helping to keep their product portfolios in line with new food and consumer trends. 

The Person

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic National Account Manager / Executive looking to grow and develop within a challenging and rewarding role. You will have a real passion for food and experience working within the food industry or FMCG categories. Solid account management experience is essential along with a proven track record of developing new business and providing successful food solutions. As well as outstanding communication skills you must have excellent negotiation and relationship management skills with a natural flair for influencing key decision makers.
