The Company

A rapidly growing entrepreneurial brand with their sights set on further significant growth, are devoted to producing innovative, high quality and great tasting products for highly discerning consumers. They are now looking for a dedicated and driven Buyer to play a key role in the delivery of their exciting development plans.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Senior Procurement Manager, you’ll be building and maintaining relationships within your supply base and managing the ongoing raw material needs going into multiple sites. You will be responsible for evaluating costs and negotiating contracts to ensure that targeted savings are met and that stock is delivered on time in full.

Additionally, you’ll keep informed of market conditions & trends and present recommendations to manage business implications. You will also need to ensure the information in the supplier data base is up to date and maintain ERP and MRP systems as well as the purchasing user guides.

The Person

You will be a commercially astute Buying or Purchasing professional who has previous experience within the UK food industry or an FMCG company where you have gained a thorough understanding of supplier relationships and distribution channels.

Experience using Oracle Cloud or another ERP systems purchasing and planning functions is essential. You’ll be highly numerate with a good knowledge of food ingredients, purchasing and stock management systems as well as the ability to provide strategic solutions to further save on costs.
