The Company

Our client is a leading importer and distributor of food and beverage ingredients - and they are now looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to support the business in their continual growth.

The Role

Reporting into the MD, you’ll be supporting the Logistics Manager with the day to day running of the Logistics department as well as providing support to the Sales team when needed. You will be responsible for liaising with customers and suppliers on a daily basis and maintaining a shipping schedule to ensure all orders are delivered on time in full. You’ll also be keeping up to date with all import procedures. Training will be provided on duty, customs and rates of exchanges.

Additionally, you’ll be dealing with customer enquiries, issuing and amending sales contracts as well as receiving and administering complaints.

The Person

We’re looking for a really personable and engaging individual who has a passion for food and a previous experience within a Logistics or Customer Service role in the Food industry. You will need to have a natural flair for developing relationships, solving problems and instilling confidence in those around you. As well as having stunning customer service skills where you go the extra mile, you will need to know how to manage customer accounts and understand the intricacies of the sales process. It is essential that you have strong communication skills as you’ll be liaising with important customers on a frequent basis. You will also be familiar with using MS Teams, Excel and an ERP system such as SAP. A second language, particularly Spanish would be advantageous. Full, clean driving license is required.
