The Company

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial career with this ambitious food manufacturing business who are going through a period of growth. They are seeking a Head of Sales to oversee and drive category growth with a focus on Food Service and Wholesale channels within the UK market.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Commercial Director, this is a pivotal role within the UK Sales Team where you will be responsible for developing and growing new product listings, distribution and increasing the rate of sales.

You’ll need to manage account budgets, implement trade and channel marketing plans, carry out accurate forecasting to identify risk and opportunities as well as deliver sales presentations to all levels of staff across a cross functional team.

You’ll also need to be resourceful & employ innovative solutions to expand accounts, obtain and extend product listings. Participation in exhibitions, open houses and trade events around the UK with also be a key part of the role.

The Person

You will be an experienced National Account Manager looking for the next step up where you can enhance your commercial career further in this dynamic, customer focused role.

Previous experience of working within fast paced food categories is essential alongside account management experience within food service and wholesale brands. To succeed in this role you must be self-starter, self-motivated and have an entrepreneurial spirit which will be combined with a high attention to detail and astounding relationship building skills.

First class communication and negotiation skills are also crucial as you’ll need to be at ease managing expectations and delivering effective persuasive presentations to increase profit margins. You must also have excellent project management, sales and analytical skills in order to achieve targets and keep up with the pace of this fast moving category.
