The Company

This successful food business supplies top-notch quality and specialist foods to the retail and foodservice sector. Well established and continually growing they are now on the lookout for an Intake Operative to join the team of food professionals.

The Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Manager you will contribute to the efficient and accurate receipt, storage and dispatch of the products and smooth operations of the department in a timely manner. You’ll be supporting the supply chain packaging team where necessary whilst adhering to company policies, practices and procedures. In addition you’ll be storing all raw materials in the right location and inputting data regarding stock and inventory into a computerized system. You will also be making sure any non-conforming products are properly documented and reported to the Technical department.

The Person

Suit a Warehouse Operative who has previous experience of working within an ambient, chilled or frozen food environment. Proactive and positive, you’ll have knowledge of the manufacturing process and be up to date with current health and safety standards as well as good numeracy and IT skills. You’ll have the ability to work using own initiative whilst demonstrating excellent communication and people skills as you’ll be liaising with various departments. A fork lift truck license would be desirable.
