The Company

This leading chilled manufacturer are fanatical about food; their mission is to deliver great quality and innovative products for their brands and to the major retailers.  They are now looking for a Junior Development Chef to join their team.

The Role

You'll work as part of an inspiring team where you will be exposed to all aspects of new product development, supporting the creation of new recipe ideas and translating these into market leading products with that real ‘wow’ factor.

You’ll assist the Senior Development Chef throughout the innovation process, undertaking key tasks such as sample making, sourcing ingredients, updating costing systems and preparing customer briefs and presentations. In addition, you’ll ensure the smooth handover of products from kitchen to factory to guarantee projects reach their required deadlines.

You’ll also develop your culinary expertise and industry knowledge through keeping up with the latest food trends, using your skills to contribute to the development of new products whilst revitalising existing ranges to keep up with consumer tastes.

The Person

Suit a qualified chef or a Culinary Arts graduate who is looking for their first step into an NPD role where they can work in a supportive team to learn all about the world of product development.

Confident and quick to learn you’ll have previous experience of working in high-end restaurants and are now ready to transfer your culinary skills into a fast paced, commercially focused role. Food will be your passion and you will be able to talk at length about delicious dishes, show stopping flavours and food trends.
