The Company

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and exciting food company who have grown over the years. They value the impact they have on the way consumers think about food. They are now looking for a very capable Range/Category Manager to coordinate insight and development for their food and drink range.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Food, you will be leading ranging decision briefs, reviews of NPD and commercial pricing. You’ll combine your zest for creativity with your commercial awareness to keep abreast of the latest food and consumer trends, identifying opportunities to develop current product ranges that deliver long term market growth based on key KPI’s. This will include trend and market insight analysis, benchmarking and brain storming to give the business a creative edge over their competitors.

Additionally, you’ll lead and develop commercial propositions and recommend insight driven reviews of the brand range. You will be tracking the cost of goods, identifying areas of opportunity as well as managing the menu development of commercially viable products. You’ll also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are on track and will delight your consumers. You will be in charge of creating detailed range development briefs with the NPD team and defining the commercial strategy for the Ecommerce platforms. Furthermore, you will conduct performance reviews on product launches and analyse the executions versus the brief.

The Person

We are looking for an exceptional Range/Category Manager with proven experience of working with entrepreneurial brands. You will be analytical yet still creative, being able to give recommendations based on consumer, market and product trends and insights for the brand range and development opportunities. You will be able to capture commercially sound propositions based on KPI’s for the NPD team. You will be an excellent communicator, have a high level of attention to detail, up to date with Ecommerce strategies and excellent presentation skills as well as be able to identify and measure results of different ranges associated with NPD.
