They are now seeking a talented technologist to join their quality and responsible sourcing team to support their ethical and sustainability strategy.
Working as part of a small team to develop and implement a responsible sourcing and ethical trading plan with a focus on sustainability and community. You will be responsible for reporting and communicating the plan to the wider business and key stakeholders. You’ll also be supporting the development of ethical trading initiatives in line with strategy, consumer expectations which are competitive and sustainable.
The role will include working closely with the Quality Technologist to monitor complaints, assess data and help drive food quality and safety standards. You will also be responsible for the Sedex relationships and reporting out on the Sedex Audit Grading Tool to ensure supplier compliance. There will also be involvement with the CSR agenda.
Would suit a food graduate with some experience of working within a CSR or ethical trading role in the food industry (retail, manufacturing or brand). Knowledge of ethical trading and sustainability initiatives is required and ideally you will have supported in some capacity with the implementation of these initiatives. You’ll also have experience of report writing, monitoring quality complaints and understanding Sedex management and reporting.
To excel in this role you will be self-motivated, a confident decision maker with the ability to influence and drive projects forward. As well as having superb communication skills, you will be able to juggle multiple projects and have a collaborative approach.
