The Company

This award-winning ambient food business has built a strong reputation supplying high-quality own-label and branded products to all major UK retailers and foodservice customers. With an international supply base is now looking to welcome a commercially minded and analytically driven Category Insights Executive/ Data Analyst to support its expanding commercial and marketing teams.

A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

The Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working closely with the Sales & Marketing Director, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the business’s understanding of customers, markets, and category performance. Your insights will help inform decisions across the business from new product development to customer strategy, ensuring growth is always guided by the latest data.

You’ll take ownership of regular market and competitor reporting, using platforms like NielsenIQ, Circana or Kantar to deliver clear and compelling stories from complex datasets. Your insight will feed into customer presentations, internal strategy sessions, and innovation meetings, giving you broad exposure and a real chance to make your mark.

This is a role that will see you collaborate closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Technical, Finance and Supply Chain. You’ll also work directly with data providers and occasionally with customers, so communication and confidence will be key. Alongside supporting the commercial team with standout presentations, you’ll help build and grow the research function within the business, ensuring that insight leads the way.

The Person

We’re looking for a smart, curious and commercially aware candidate with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to interpret and communicate data with impact. You’ll ideally have experience working in food or FMCG, and a solid understanding of consumer and market data platforms. You may be in a similar insights, category or analyst role already, or you could be a recent graduate with strong numerical skills and at least a year’s hands-on experience in a data-driven environment.

You'll need to be confident using Excel and PowerPoint, and comfortable presenting trends and recommendations to internal stakeholders. Strong time management and a real eye for detail will be key, as will a proactive, collaborative approach to your work.

If you are someone who loves digging into the data and finding the stories that will drive real commercial decisions, then apply now or call us 07700 137 110.
