This growing business have an amazing portfolio of premium products and work with a diverse range of customers that include retailers, food service, QSR and coffee shops. They are now looking for a dynamic Process Technologist to join the team.

The Role

This role will see you leading the transition of new and existing bakery products from development through to full-scale manufacturing.

You’ll be responsible for managing production trials from the test bakery to factory scale, ensuring all key data, such as recipes, settings, measurements, and adjustments, are accurately recorded and communicated.

You’ll work closely with Technical, Production, and Customer teams to develop and maintain Quality Attribute Standards, using objective measurements and sample analysis to ensure consistency and product excellence. Supporting product launches and the commissioning of new equipment, you'll attend first production runs and play a key role in resolving any manufacturing challenges to ensure smooth handovers.

In addition, you'll take ownership of all recipe and process documentation, ensuring accurate costing, clear handover packs for production, and version control across all development records. You will also be instrumental in driving continuous improvement by trialing ingredient and process changes, refining recipes for both quality and efficiency, and coordinating tastings, approvals, and innovation opportunities.

The Person

This role would suit a confident and experienced Process Technologist with exceptional attention to detail and a strong background in the food industry. You’ll be passionate about delivering high-quality products and have the drive to see projects through from concept to launch. A practical and analytical mindset is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

You must have a sound understanding of HACCP and be comfortable taking responsibility for production trials and working to a critical path. Excellent organisation, communication skills, and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships are key.
