The Company

With abundant passion and delicious products to match, this food brand is expanding rapidly with exciting plans ahead. To realise their ambitions, they need a fabulous product developer who is super foodie, creative, and has the talent to take the reins of all things under the product umbrella.

This role is hybrid with 3 days in their London HQ and 2 days WFH. There will be travel on a weekly/fortnightly basis to their co-manufacturing site so flex will be required.

The Role

This is a wide-ranging role where you’ll lead exciting NPD and EPD projects from concept through to launch, ensuring the products are both innovative and commercially feasible with product briefs and market insights. You’ll develop new ideas, trial them with the co-manufacturer, and ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and nutrition.

You’ll also be getting involved in technical / operational projects, ensuring all products and packaging meet regulatory requirements, and aiding in maintaining quality assurance systems. You’ll evaluate customer feedback, apply it to product and processes, and safeguard the consistency of the company’s products by running regular quality control panels with the team.

The role will be varied, and although you will be working from the London HQ, you will also be needed at the co-manufacturing site, getting hands on to solve problems or help launch new products. You’ll be able to swiftly identify opportunities for the product and brand, whether that is from an NPD / EPD, technological, or packaging perspective.

With the mentoring and support of their passionate team, you will be able to quickly step up and be the go-to person / subject matter expert on anything and everything to do with the product.

The Person

We are looking for a proactive and curious foodie who is energetic, passionate, and skilled in managing multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be passionate about consumer trends, improving products, and making an impact in the market.

You’ll have a few years of experience working in a similar product development role within the food manufacturing industry and will have a food science / food technology degree. Ideally, you’ll have gained your experience from a start-up food brand or SME that has encouraged you to be agile and think on your feet when challenges with new products and technical hurdles arise.
