The Company

This small but highly ambitious and fast-growing food manufacturer produces premium, handcrafted products for clients across the foodservice sector. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, the company operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

They are now seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of the factory and support continued growth.

The Role

You will be an integral part of the business and be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the factory. You will be managing the production team, streamlining processes and ensuring the highest level of product quality and food safety.

You will identify inefficiencies and work to find the best solutions to improve productivity and profitability. Driving cost efficiencies, optimising procurement and implementing continuous improvement initiatives through the development of robust KPI’s to assess performance across departments will key part of the role.

Along with managing production, you will take responsibility for supply chain management, ensuring transport and logistics departments work optimally to deliver fabulous products to your customers.

The Person

This position requires a bright and commercially minded Operations professional who has the vision, ambition and capability to drive company growth. You will need previous experience within the UK food manufacturing industry, ideally within a short shelf life or complex product sector. As well as your passion for product shining through, you will need to excel at leading, building and motivating teams.

You’ll be able to develop and implement measurable KPI’s with a data driven approach to making decisions and problem solving. Your experience will also include working closely with suppliers and overseeing transport and logistics.
